Start the day with a visit to Ita Fort in Itanagar, dating back to Ahom Kings in the 14th and 15th century. It is one of the most important historical structures of Arunachal Pradeshand infact Itanagar derives its name from the fort. Drive to Ziro (elevation: 1,700 m / 5,600 ft), a plateau inhabited by Apa-Tanis tribes.
Drive to Along, renowned for its natural beauty, nestled amidst lofty mountains .Visit nearby villages of Adi Galong tribes.Also go to Paya and Kabu villages just to get the feel of the life in this state. En route stop to observe an interesting Bamboo bridge.
Start your day with an excursion to Namphake, a village close to Buri-Dihing. The inhabitants of the village are from Tai Phakial community, in Thailand and follow the Hinayana school of Buddhism (contrary to most Indian and Tibetan Buddhists). On the way back to your hotel, visit Shiva Tilinga Mandir (Bell Temple), a renowned and revered Shiva temple in Assam.
Experience some wildlife at Kaziranga and stay at a Jungle Lodge. Kaziranga National Park is home to the endangered one-horn rhino, tigers, elephants, birds, buffalos, panthers, snakes, turtles and numerous migratory birds. It also has three kinds of interconnected habitats, untouched by man: wetlands, grasslands and woodlands.
